As viewed from the Century Hyatt. The building was constructed to promote efficient use of a prime office block in Shinjuku New City Center Area, redeveloping and improving the environment of the area. A variety of uses, including offices, retail, school, and residence, were combined in this project. This is the result of complicated property rights between landowners, building owners and leaseholders, inevitable in a redevelopment project. I-LAND Tower was the first example in Shinjuku of such a complicated redevelopment project on this scale. The Shinjuku New City Center Area is beginning to grow into a "future city", where people work, play and live 24hours a day, right in the very heart of Tokyo.
