Christchurch's grid of streets spread out from Cathedral Square - a large, open, paved area typically abuzz with lunching office workers, skateboarders and tourists. A less permanent occupant of the square is the Wizard, a local eccentric and former English lecturer who has been lambasting bemused audiences with muddle-brained but occasionally interesting rantings for over a quarter of a century.
