The San Francisco trip took place in Sep 2000. It was early autumn then, and the weather was cooling. Honestly I like the SF pictures a whole lot more than the NY ones. Maybe it's because I didn't put in enough thought while taking photos during my NY trip. Or maybe I've happened to run into a really skilled developer for my SF pics. Or maybe it's because I really enjoyed my stay in SF a lot.

And I can't really explain why I like SF so much. Maybe it's the hills and steep slopes coupled with my height phobia that makes everything so much more thrilling. Or maybe it's the people there - they are much less racist towards Asians; There were times when I just dished out my map for quick reference, and people just come up and ask if I need help with directions. Or maybe it's because this was my very first trip where I get to decide on the itinerary and explore at leisure. Or maybe it's just because I learnt so much about the place prior to the trip.

Again these pictures were taken via a film camera, and subsequently "digitised" using a scanner (or a digital camera in some cases). Photos are arranged by geographical regions in a chronological order.
